So after reading "What is the Worst Beer you have ever had?" (and not knowing any of these brands as I'm from Germany) I thought, that it's much more interesting for me to know "What is the Best Beer you have ever had?".
Shall I begin? I'm all for Pilsener and as I'm from Northern Germany it has to be "Jever Pilsener" for me.
But every once in a while I like a good Guiness as well.

God. I don't know..
At the moment I like "Naked Ale" which is the house beer at Young & Jack sons in Melbourne's CBD. It is like "Little Creatures" but not and intense in flavour at that or, say "Mountain Goat Hightail Ale".. Naked Ale would be would be my favourite at the moment for a few quites ales..
There almost too many good ones to name.. -

What!?!?!?!?!?!
You really need to take a trip up to the Pacific North West. In Oregon and Washington there are around 190 DIFFERENT micro brews.
There is a store in Portland that carries only beer....they have 1000 different ones to choose from.

I have not tried many beers compared to some on the different "beer related" tribes but am willing to sample as many as I can find!! I know we all have different tastes in beer so I will not try to convince anyone of my faves here but, I do like Stella Artois, Urquell, Guiness, and of course FOSTERS!! Yes I said Fosters. I just happen to like it and that is all I am saying!! -

You must have tons of options in Germany. America is a not a beer place, everyone seems to say Budweiser is piss water and drink ONLY Budweiser. Recommend more brands and I'll look them up here for availability.

Great Lakes' brews are all very very good for the money ... I don't know if they distribute their stuff West of the Mississippi ... look for it .......
Elliot Ness amber lager and Burning River pale ale are both excellent all-around session beers ....
I can get them both for $8/ six pak here ...
Leffe blonde ale (Belgian) is outstanding ...

This is the second year I have had the Southern Tier *Jamestown. NY) Pumking Imperial Pumpkin Stout.
I have had between 15 and 18 pumpkin beers, and it's easily the best.
But there's somthing that goes beyond that. It's a well-made beer and a great stout.
